I was recently asked to add a bit of functionality to a site using Woocommerce which would allow the owner to change the number of products that displayed on each shop archive or category page. This was because he was using a 4 column layout but only 10 items would show up on each page leaving an odd gap at the bottom of each.

Initially I assumed this would require some rooting about in the loop which populated the WooCommerce pages, however instead I found the answer in the standard WordPress settings, as the number of items in the loop is controlled by the option: “Blog pages show at most” found in the: Settings >> Reading submenu in the WordPress dashboard.
Simply change this figure to 12 or any multiple of 4 in order to have complete rows appear in a 4 column layout!
